Spread the love

Ohio sunrise

Welcome to the weekend, my associates! It positive is getting sizzling right here in Ohio. We lastly had some rain this week and it was beautiful! (Aspect be aware – I do know I’m climate obsessed, that is my new life. I’m simply accepting it.) I hope you might be staying cool wherever you might be. Apart from Sean’s time spent engaged on constructing the rooster coop, we’ve spent most of our days indoors this week.

My youngest and I’ve been strolling out to the sting of our property every evening to benefit from the sunsets as a result of they’ve been so very beautiful. As a lot as I like winter, and spring, and fall, there’s one thing to like about summer season too. Have I discussed currently how a lot I like the altering seasons? If not, let me remind you that I LOVE Ohio.

ON THE BLOG this week: Creamy deviled egg filling creates the dressing that coats each chew of this Deviled Egg Pasta Salad. I’ve heard from lots of you this week who’ve already made this and LOVED it.

We liked this Hot Dog Bar with 4 superior combos – Chicago-Fashion, Hawaiian, Inexperienced Chile Queso, and BBQ Sundae. I’m keen to wager you’ll like it too.

Candy bits of pineapple and spicy jalapeño mix to make this Pineapple Jalapeno Salsa one of our favourite condiments and snacks. (We used it to make the last word Hawaiian Scorching Canines final week too!)

What I’m CRAVING: This Smashed Blackberry and Basil Goat Cheese Toast by Plum Road Collective is making my mouth water.

My FAVORITE THINGS this week are these baseball cap protectors. Sean wears a cap virtually each day and consequently, they get fairly dirty whereas he’s working round the home and open air. These frames are designed to carry the form of the cap whereas it’s being washed.

I bear in mind seeing these earlier than however I had no concept they’d work so completely. Simply clip the plastic body across the cap, toss the cap within the dishwasher (significantly – the dishwasher does all of the work) and the caps are scrubbed clear as new. As soon as the cycle finishes, let the cap air dry and also you’re all set.

What I’m READING: All The Ways We Said Goodbye by Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, and Karen White. This guide got here extremely advisable and I used to be on the waitlist for months. I’m completely happy to say that it was definitely worth the wait. (I didn’t understand initially that the guide was written by three completely different authors, however it works.) This guide is about in three timelines between 1914-1964 and so they’re tied collectively by a shared location.

Whereas I actually preferred this guide in the long run, I sort of wished that the timelines hadn’t been so combined. When you’re studying only a chapter or two at evening or having bother focusing, it was sort of laborious to comply with at occasions and I needed to flip again a bit to recollect which story I used to be studying. I’m tempted to reread every character’s story from begin to end – separate from the others.

“Freedom is a fragile factor and is rarely a couple of era away from extinction. It’s not ours by inheritance; it have to be fought for and defended always by every era, for it comes solely as soon as to a individuals.” – Ronald Reagan

Wishing you a stunning week stuffed with little issues that make you smile!
